Our Extreme Extractor is designed after the Standard Extractor; however, one great addition has been made. We have added a dry wash, or “waterless” system that eliminates the need for water-washing. This results in a faster yield of biodiesel!
The Extreme Extractor purification system is based on a basic concept that the biodiesel industry adopted a few years ago. It works on the same principle as Ion Exchange. We at Extreme Biodiesel have taken this concept and adapted it to the small-scale process used in our systems.
The filtering agent used is our own blend of products that create this unique system. This will only add .11 cents per gallon to your total per gallon price and with the time saved, it is well worth the minimal expense. Extreme Extractor 2-Hour Purification System
The 2-hour system can filter 100 gallons of fuel in 2 hours and be ready to burn in any diesel motor. So, that means in a total of about 5 hours, you can go from vegetable oil to clean burning Biodiesel.
Maintenance on the filter system is a breeze. It’s as simple as performing a flush cycle on the first tank using Methanol every 3000 gallons. This methanol can then be reused in your beginning process.
Every 12,000 to 14,000 gallons, you change out one tank of media that you can purchase from Extreme Biodiesel. The spent media can then be composted or just thrown away. It is 100% biodegradable.
Extreme Extractor 5 Hour Purification System
The 5-hour system can filter 100 gallons of fuel in 5 hours and be ready to burn in any diesel motor. In about 8 hours you can go from vegetable oil to clean burning Biodiesel.
Maintenance on the filter system is as simple as performing a flush cycle on the first tank using Methanol every 1000 gallons. This methanol can then be reused in your beginning process.
Every 5000 to 6000 gallons you change out one tank of media that you can purchase from Extreme Biodiesel. The spent media can then be composted or thrown away. It is 100% biodegradable.

Extreme Extractor Diagram & Instructions
STEP 1: HEAT THE VEGETABLE OIL TO APPROXIMATELY 140 DEGREES. STEP 2: DRAW THE HEATED OIL USING THE EXTRACTOR DRAW TUBE INTO THE LARGE MIXING TANK. STEP 3: TAKE SAMPLE OF OIL AND DO YOUR TITRATION OF THE OIL. STEP 4: ONCE YOU HAVE TITRATED, GO ONTO EXTREME BIODIESEL’S WEBSITE AND CLICK ON THE TITRATION CALCULATOR. ENTER THE NUMBERS TO DETERMINE HOW MUCH METHANOL AND LYE IS NEEDED FOR THAT BATCH. STEP 5: WEIGH THE APPROPRIATE LYE AND PLACE IN TOP OF THE METHOXIDE MIXING TANK AND PUMP IN THE CALCULATED NUMBER OF GALLONS OF METHANOL. TURN ON METHANOL PUMP FOR 10 MINUTES TO MIX. STEP 6: INJECT THE METHOXIDE INTO THE LARGE MIXING TANK AT ONE GALLON/MINUTE. STEP 7: ONCE THAT IS COMPLETED, TURN ON THE TIMER TO THE METHANOL PUMP FOR 30 MINUTES TO MIX. ONCE MIXED, LET THE REACTION OCCUR FOR NO LESS THAN 2.5 HOURS. YOU CAN GO LONGER, BUT NOT LESS THAN THE 2.5 HOURS. STEP 8: DRAIN OFF THE GLYCERIN BY-PRODUCT BY USING THE DRAIN HOSE AND VALVE. STEP 9: BEGIN TO RUN THE RAW BIODIESEL THROUGH THE FILTER SYSTEM. ONCE COMPLETED, YOU WILL HAVE FINISHED BIODIESEL.
