Before I started filing mark to market I used Gainskeeper and it worked well for me having over 1000 trades the last year I used it, although I still had to go back through it and look over it as Ameritrade did duplicate some transactions in the download. It also assumes first in first out as far as matching buys and sells, which was a problem for me at the time considering I had long term positions in stocks that I also traded, so I had to go back in and manually adjust what buys went with what sells for those specific stocks, but all in all it still made my life much easier not having to manually enter all of my trades and not having to calculate wash sales.
