Are you suggesting a shareholder cannot legally have knowledge of things most other shareholders do not? If so, you're mistaking. Timothy Cook is the CEO of Apple, yet he's also a shareholder. If he came on CNBC and said Apple is working on a SECRET WEAPON, would he be in violation of any SEC guidelines? No.
Would there be strategy in him making such a statement? most likely
Further, as consumers yourselves (if that be Apple products are not), do you not think Apple is indeed working on SECRET WEAPONS to win consumers? Fight competitors?
