The SEC is investigating. However they will not recoup losses for an individual investor. They will not even release or update information to me about the status.
The only way anyone can recoup losses on fraud like this is to get a judgement,in a court of law, and file a lien on his property.
When he sells the house or car or other assets then you can recoup losses.

THe Wolf of Wall Street is about penny stock fraud. It has been unchecked for years.
