Either you read my mind or my edit! Yes it does. I don't believe you will find a post of mine where I attacked someone with vulgarity on the Rants board.

It defeats the argument when you do.
It violates Ihubs rules.
It violates the Rants rules.

I would suggest that the non stock boards play by the same rules as Ihub while you're thinking about it. It should be a level playing field.

Thanks.

Matt I have a big problem with this post, and have decided that in addition to reporting a tos, i feel this matter should be debated publicly, i find this a serious violation of privacy, and would like to know how u feel, first of all of these posts are off topic, they have nothing to do with idcc, second of all what does rtd's mail have to do with the aliases on this message board, so the fbi comes to u and wants our name and address, will u give it to them, do i need the hassle of this, and i am sure my alias will be one of them reported, simply because i have had arguments in the past with idcc board members, if i am wrong then set me straight, but i do think that this is out of line and that is why i am bringing it to this board, thanks, by the way my argument with art was considered for deletion and jail and called garbage posts, how are these posts not garbage and not reprimanded for jail and deletion

here is the post, thanks for your time, if u tell me i am wrong, i will not post about this topic again, thanks

ART:I don't have much faith in the FBI doing much on it but the postal authorities appeared to be much more interested in doing something...i certainly plan on turning over the alais names of some board members to both the postal folks and the FBI....however,i am president of our civic club[for three years] and i have upset a few folks doing that time so it could be someone who has been caught violating restrictions or city regulations and blame me for the fines etc.just have to wait and see....i know i have been very free with my name and address on the board and our local newspapewrs so it could be anyone....just have to wait and see how it all turns out....best....Rookie

oh by the way rtd says he has posted his name address, like others here have posted theirs and their phone number, well then it could be anybody on the internet, u don't need an alias to read these boards, and not to mention the fact that if you are that stupid to put your name and address out here than u can expect bad people to do bad things with it, responsibility lies with the poster not to do a lamebrained thing

my last point is that posters here deserve to know if you will give out names if people request names for aliases, what is your policy on this

Matt, I was mailed a virus to my e-mail address that is part of Jim's IDCC mail list. The sender thought they had stripped their address from the message but it was still embedded in the header. Is it against the TOU to post the e-mail address of the virus spreader so other list member can take appropriate action to protect themselves from future attacks?

I would simply e-mail it to all list members but I have learned it's not that kind of list, LOL! I asked Jim if I should send it to him in private so he can send it out to the list but his suggestion is to just post it publicly. I wanted to check with you to see if there is any problem with that.

Thanks,

Once

The Question and Answer Board

Matt & everyone else,

Infractions of the TOU should not depend on where the board is,
but should only reference conduct of a member using iHub.

If one uses the example discussed, about a specific board obtaining
the green-light for posters to use foul language, then this raises
the following issue.

iHub's TOU conditions of conduct can be rigid or conditional
depending if the board is of a company for stock trading discussions,
for which all TOU are rigid, or those of a club nature where a conditional
nature is available, as in the above example for foul language usage.

The boards of a club nature inherently obtain the "will" of the creator
to obtain a form and function based on their subjective thoughts.

As Sheriff Matt spoke, it will grow or die based on being used,
and the board itself is no more than a member that can join iHub
and leave, iHub remains, such with club type boards being no
different that survival of the fittest, those that are strong and good
will remain, others with weakness will not, and these with weakness
should NOT be identified as being "in error" like the discussion now
where C states his post was deleted in error. There is no error or rights
given to the club board conduct, its run under the iHub TOU conditions
that are rigid, but the conditional ones like what the club board creator
thinks is a personal attack or foul language is determined at this
club type board level. Thusly posts deleted under conditional TOU
violations can not be sent to the higher court(Sheriff Matt), only rigid ones.

rigid ones - threats, etc

In the meantime your site is turning into Raging Bull.
