Anyhoo, many a conjecture out there as to why the SI post count took a nosedive. I've got my humble theories, just like everyone else.
Here are mine: After GNET bought SI and started messing with the original Dryer Classic concept, BrowseMaster ended, INSP took over and messed with it some more, well, didn't make for happy campers, lemme tell ya! To aggravate matters, the market tanked, and folks shut up when they're hit hard. Rah rah, what?, oops, gulp, flat line.
SI Bob? Humbly suggest he had less to do with the post count drop than I've had contact with you -- little, if any. Most SI members didn't even know who he is, many of those that did know him didn't give him a second glance, and those that feel strongly about him one way or another are a small minority, you and me included.
In my second link I provided access to the voices of those that truly respect Bob, read them:
Now, I was not here before he came to IH, but, having taken a peek at what was the norm before his arrival, well, to put it simply, not a chance I'd be here if someone like HuBob was not "minding the coop".
