you can def trade it without options just take profits regularly. With these etfs there will always be another buy opportunity. Last time gdx ran it was 14-15 days I believe then a sharp decline once gold got overbought at resistance of 1260. Looks to be the same now but too early to tell for sure. (disclaimer) Ive started accumulating dust.
