The model is pretty simple.

SUNWorks now sells/installs 3rd party panels in a very limited market in California. Can they continue to grow? Yes. Once Solar3D starts production on its panels, I see in the future SUNWorks selling these panels therefore cutting out the middle man in 3rd party panels. But in the meantime, it is revenue, and will at least keep the company afloat while the panels are being developed.

Now to get to the serious revenue. The residential solar market alone is supposed to reach 5.7 billion by 2016. The question is, can Solar3D get a fraction of a percent of the market? There is a lot that needs to happen in this time: Marketing, Production, Proven Efficiency, Vendor partnerships, Service agreements, etc...

It is all about getting a foothold in the market with a valuable, proven product. Can it happen? Yes. Will it happen? Maybe. There are many companies with a plan and a dream. Most fail, while there is the next Apple waiting to happen. We will just have to wait and see.
