What was happening with the PPS today?
I have another theory: some retail shareholders were disappointed as they expected immediate positive results from the CANTECH Conference and exhibition. Over more Sphere3D had told us in their PR dated Jan 15th that

Following the Conference, a copy of the presentation and video of the demonstration shall be posted on the Company's website at www.sphere3d.com/media-and-news

Who among the retail shareholders has had the chance in the past to see a demonstration of the Glassware 2.0 products? So there were high expectations about those videos but the posting on their website got delayed.
This might have affected confidence of a few people that decided to sell some stock which triggered the stock to drop below the 50 MA and resulted in more selling.
At what time today did the videos appear on the website? The first message here to announce the video was post 1570 at 02:58:09 PM and have a look at this chart:

You can see from this chart, before 3 PM it was practically all selling and after 3 PM the first buyers showed up.

Now that everyone has digested the contents of those videos and understands from here how disruptive Sphere3D's solutions are I think we might quickly rebound above the 50 day MA!

Another factor that might have exaggerated the selling is that some of the HTFBS followers wanted to shift some of their money to DSNY based on the latest update of the newsletter...
