This guy is an engineer with specific knowledge and education as well as an attorney. This type of attorney is critical for IP companies to have on staff. This guy matches up well with VRNG's patents and current and future endeavors or they would not have hired him.
People are reading too much into this vis a via Google. His background could be more closely aligned with the ZTE case or some future litigation...maybe another GOOG suit in the future.
Plus VRNG would not have hired him if he was in any way connected to the current GOOG litigation.
