8 blown calls..a swing of 180 total yards and 18 points

But it is what it is: Stevens blew it, Hasselback responded to the holding call by overthrowing by 5 yards, Jackson could have gotten both feet down at the pylon, and we have shown a propensity for allowing big plays out of the blue(2 in the Carolina game also). The two injuries probably cost us the final big play too: our top Defensive lineman and safety were on the bench.

I am not down on Holmgren but we could have thrown over the middle all day, too.

If football cant correct its ref problem, i will stop watching altogether. This has been going on all season. All things being equal, seattle lost 11 points on the holding call and the offensive interference call. Add the 11 points back and you have a compelling OT game even if it wasnt a well played game.
And whether Rothlisberger got in or not is not the question--it was clear to me that the ref changed his call as he ran to spot it because rothlisberger moved the ball a couple of feet over the goal line after he was down. I think the ball touched the plane of the goal line when he was in the air but if the ref made the call as he originally saw it, it never would have been reversed. Pitt would have scored anyway but you never know.
No other sport is as affected by poor officiating like the NFL.
