Sure but there's always somebody that can drum up the resources somehow and then what? I think they are ethically bound to continue treatment if there is obvious benefit to the patient or considerable improvement to the patient's condition.

In the past I threw the term "cure" around when speaking to people about K but now I realize that it doesn't have to be an absolute cure but just extend life and be better at it than what's currently available.
