#1368 RE: gigmbwng #1367

The deadlines made have nothing to do with the county as far as I know. There were no deadlines set by the county. Why would there be..? That makes no sense what so ever..

Why would a county place deadlines on a 1.5 billion project.
"if you don't start construction by this date.. your fired..!!

If SSE rolled in their next month with their first $1 million dollar TAX check they would throw a fricken party!

As for a bunch a uniformed small town municipal employees not knowing what is going on a national level is not surprising.

The deadlines were created by SSE in regards to PTC tax credit that was set to expire at the end of 2012. That's why they had those emergency council meetings.

Then the PTC was extended until end of 2013.. Bought us some more time...

They were told by SSE that the project needed to meet certain deadlines to qualify for the PTC. Since there was no construction started prior to those deadlines in 2012, I assume those clowns thought the worst... And not keeping them informed is arbritary. We don't need the counties approval anyway.. We were just hoping for some tax rebates anyway..

When the money starts rolling in I'm sure they will change their tune either way..

2013 PTC did expire last month, but it's supposed to be renewed in the next few months again.. JIMO
