Don't get me wrong, I'm not under any illusions about the lengths to which market makers will go to screw over retail investors, both on the regulated exchanges and (more so) on the OTC. I was just correcting what I took to be a misconception by someone who thought that any naked shorting by market makers was illegal.
Actually, I filed a complaint just this morning over some shenanigans by a mm for a different OTC ticker.
Anybody new to investing in bios should also read the Deep Capture story about what DNDN went through in its initial attempts to bring a new drug to market without a large pharma having its back. Talk about corruption, dishonesty, and outright theft - makes a typical OTC market maker look like Mother Theresa.
