Hi Lee ... my wife built both my new generic PC as well as hers ... she is basically a PC software fix-it person, but it is really amazing to watch her work on the hardware as well. These 2 new systems (my old Compaq died in December) really scream ... has a fabulous sound system with it. Right now, I'm listening to WKLB Country Oldies 99.5 on-line out of Bean-town with Michael Burns from 8-NOON Sunday mornings. I always loved that show when we lived there.

I hope Red Sox fans "egg" Johnny Damon the first time he comes to Fenway ... bleacher fans armed with raw eggs - I can dig it ... everybody throws their eggs when the first pitch hits the catcher's mit in the top of the first. ... give him a coat of yellow right there in center field ... LOL

Sorry to hear you're having computer problems -- again! When my 3-year-old Sony started having problems and I realized what junk they put in those boxes, I decided to build my own, with Bruce Thompson's help. Best decision I ever made. Want me to build one for you? You'll have to wait a few year for delivery, though, because I won't be back in New England until then. Well, with luck, your Dell might last that long, LOL.

Hey, here's a thought -- maybe you can get that tech kid who fixes all your screw-ups to build you a decent unit. Doesn't take more than a couple of hours to assemble and Bruce Thompson can give you the parts list, you order everything online, and all you have to do is put it all together (well, not YOU, but get someone to put it all together) and you'll have the best screamin' computer you ever dreamed of having (very reliable, highly upgradable, and fast, Fast, FAST).

lee, try tradingcomputers.com. They will build one for you. Not any more expensive than a Dell or IBM but they make sure it works. I know lots of people who use them and that's where I will buy my next computer. (Could be soon.)

Never a Dell again for me either. Right now I have three laptops from Dell that don't work. Someone is supposed to stop by tomorrow to get one of them working. I can't tell you the number of hours I've wasted and I have gold tech support. What dreck.
