Flydoc, while many may look at the answer to the letter to EFF as no big deal,it at least seems like a real attempt to solve the issues raised in a non confrontational way. What may be playing in the background is that KC is encouraged or led to believe that support for the Copy Management principle is stronger than first believed and may be accepted through wider usage by the music industry. Maybe just steps alleviate potential problems, but looks like a genuine effort to allay fears of the past like EULA or installation without prior approval of certain files!
