The email was in response to my question to the Army about AFT Phase II JP-8 status and says they were selected and they are working on the contracts. That should only mean that they are going to phase 3.
We had been wondering for months why the Phase 2 summary report had not been finaled. Im assuming that the work they were supposed to submit in August that was delayed due to Jim's passing was finally submitted Dec 31st after a requested extention. I guess that was needed for Army to pull the trigger on Phase 3..Im speculating..but confidently as up until now the Army was not very specific about what was going on with the Phase 2.
One thing seems very certain...Army has selected AFT for phase 3 commercialization on the JP-8 work and they are in the process of contracting.
Now we njeed to wait for the contract specifics. What they are buying, who besides Army might be buying, monitization etc.
How long the contract negotiations will take is nothing I can even speculate on. I would refer people with an interest in what happens now to review the SBIR Commercialization Brochure...here:
