Rcaptian...people do brew there own beer with hops and barly. Nothing illegal about it..but it's much easier to grab a six pack at a store. However, all it takes is a seed and a few months and now you got your recreational personal use supply. I would imagine although not illegal to brew beer but illegal to grow your own it won't take long for individuals to want phot products in their home.

A 6 pack of beer costs $10, an ounce of pot costs $400. To save $10 people wont work as hard as they will to save $400. Horrible comparison.

For the same reasons most people don't brew their own beer.
