Our native, the Pacific Dogwood, (Cornus nuttallii) can be up to 80 feet tall, and 3.5 feet dbh.... but anthractnose has taken most of the old biggies, at least in urban areas.

This is a Kalmia or mountain laurel, which is a similar plant to rhododendrons and pieris
