Paige

I comment below in part. If i do not comment, it means that
I have no argument, based on the BAXA FAQ.

Mr. Priest stated that they can validate medications for patient safety to insure that the right amount of drug is in an IV bag.

My comment...Misleading..I expect that they can,,one drug at a time, before it is added to the IV bag. But not the bag itself.

Mr. Priest stated that they can validate narcotic returns to insure that no one has diluted the medications.

Mr. Priest stated that they can do accuracy testing for sterile compounding.

My comment..Misleading. Since Valimed will not ID unknowns, (unsignatured) it cannot determine sterility. As I said above, They can test each medicine one at a time before it is added.

Mr. Priest stated that they are able to detect counterfeit medications, including tablets.

"Mr. Priest stated that they can do accuracy testing for sterile compounding."

Well there ya go, it is a given that the admixure is sterile.

Mr. Priest does not state "accuracy testing for compounding" nor does he state "testing for sterility".

He includes the adverb "sterile" to describe an important condition of the compounding process.

They are testing for the compounding accuracy of a sterile admixture. Sterile is a given.

It can be interpreted no other sensible way IMO.

End of story.
