yeah man its a risk but a big reward , lets see ,I think CERP has a big chance here to change its self from a non profit company to bringing in big profits. Scheer has many roads to choose and i hope he chooses the right one. He is aiming for nice 2014 , and did say Europe will pass the law early 2014. But we all know his promises are not correct, but he can somebody can launch a PR with a great news. i will have patience and I will make it good here. Slowly but yes we will get out good with profit .

fluent one big reason I have invested here is bec of Alageplast, CerP has a patented design for Alage, and Alage is becoming a big thing lately. CErP has the knowledge, the fundamentals, the right R&D. If you watch this video you will see how Alage will become a very nice product in the future.

Now CERP has been working with Alage for years. They know Alage ca be converted to oil thats why they are working to create bio plastic.

Back in Feb 27, 2013 CERP released this:

Cereplast introduced the concept in late 2009, with a target of reaching a bioplastic made from 50% algae bio-content. Algaeplast’s ultimate goal is to bring to market new polymers made from 100% algae content. Recently, the company commercialized small quantities of Biopropylene 109D, a compound with 20% post-industrial algae biomatter. The research and development team is currently developing a grade with a higher percentage of algae bio-content. Based on customer interest, the company has determined that the demand for bioplastics made from algae is significant, and therefore has created Algaeplast to develop a new monomer and polymers made from algae.

Mr. Frederic Scheer, Chairman and CEO of Cereplast, stated, “With recent developments made in the algae-to-oil process, the company believes it will reach its goal within less than 5 years, either solely or in partnership with other significant players in the field.”

do you see the word partnership with significant other, i think CERP will partner with some big company. I am not joking, its seems much possible here since CERP has done alot of research in this sector of Alage.

Cereplast has filed a patent for Alage Bio-Content polymers back in March 19,2013, this is huge step CERP took, and its seems like this will turn out really good for CERP.

Cereplast Files Patent on Algae Bio-Content Polymers

EL SEGUNDO, Calif., March 19, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cereplast, Inc. (OTCQB:CERP) (the "Company"), a leading manufacturer of proprietary biobased, compostable and sustainable bioplastics, today announced that the Company filed a patent application on March 15, 2013 with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for algae bio-content polymers.

Cereplast's new patent filing falls in line with their overall intellectual property strategy and specifically protects its innovations on Algae related material. This patent application is the result of several years of formulation and process development by the Cereplast research and development team. The Company first introduced the concept of bioplastics made with algae in 2009, commercialized Biopropylene® 109D in late 2012 and incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, Algaeplast™, Inc., in early 2013.

Algaeplast will take over the development and manufacture of algae-based bioplastics to transform a range of low-cost algae into high-value bioplastic resins and renewable biofuels. The patent application was filed by Cereplast, but the use of the patent will be assigned to Algaeplast.

Cereplast Chairman and CEO, Mr. Frederic Scheer, stated, "This patent is one of many steps on our journey of developing this new category of plastic. We see a significant future ahead for the estimated over $100 billion algae biofuels and bioplastics industry, and we are firmly committed to protecting the intellectual property of the Company as we further our work. Considering there is a lack of algae bioplastic patents today, we strongly believe that our experience and research and development capability has allowed us to foresee the future of renewable plastics and carry out this valuable technology. We also believe that our vision is starting to take shape with algae being on the verge of large commercial production for biofuels and bioplastic applications. Large companies in the airline industry and others are following the progress of numerous companies ready to commercially offer algae as a viable alternative to petroleum, both for fuel and chemicals. Algaeplast wants to be at the forefront of this new fuel and chemical revolution."
