Shmolt, if I had 6 freezes I would be one cold dude right now...2 or 3 freezes versus the hassle of SSK keeping up with more trades may not be a bad idea...LJ

Shmolt: Freezes:

We have a made MAJOR changes from PSL1 to PSL2. We have to see how those work out before we consider anything differently for PSL3 and beyond.

I will comment on a couple things, though. I do not agree that stock "selling" is more important than stock "picking". There are 14,000 stocks out there. If you "pick" the average stock, you probably aren't going to even begin to do as well as our group. And, "selling" is a function primarily that is critical when stocks either go up a ton or just before they drop a ton. With 6 stocks in 3.5 months, one trade and one freeze seems adequate to me to guage a person's "selling" abilities.

One more thought on this. One of the reasons we changed from 6 months to 3.5 months was because we believed the average hold time had probably dropped from about 6 months for VMC'ers - which is what the average survey respondent (77 people) said. However, we believed that the market had changed enough since that survey that 3.5 months might be better representative of the changes. Anyway, the point is that if 3.5 months is truly average, then we wouldn't want to implement a bunch of stuff that completely negated it. This contest is not about trading. It is about stock "picking". By adding the trade and the freeze, we have given the ability to tweak the "picking".

And, finally, changing to 6 trades or freezes is just that much more work. It is enough as it is and it will be ongoing as long as we continue PSL. If it is successful, it will probably grow and the more it grows, the more work it is.

So, I can tell you that nothing near 6 freezes or 6 trades will happen. Is it possible that it could go from a combined 2 to a combined 3? Maybe. We'll see.
