"Apple's iPhones And iPads Showing Up In China Mobile Stores

An American living in China has posted pictures of iPhone’s and iPad’s on display in a China Mobile store in Shenzhen’s Futian district (Shenzhen is China’s fifth largest city with over 10 million people according to Wikipedia). While widely expected, especially since China Mobile’s Beijing website started taking orders for the iPhone a few days ago, the displays in the store include actual product and pricing. There was also a video with Phil Schiller, Apple’s Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, playing on a flatscreen TV. (Note that my family and I own Apple shares).

From the pictures he took and what he wrote a majority of the store was dedicated to Apple. While this is only one store it is a positive indication that China Mobile could aggressively market iPhones and iPads.
The price for an iPhone 5s is 4,380 Chinese Yuan which is $721 (a 16GB unlocked model in the U.S is $649) and a 5c is shown at 3,380 Chinese Yuan or $557 (a 16GB unlocked model in the U.S. is $549). There were no pictures with iPad pricing."
