Thanks for the primer Janice. Certainly they can be proven forgeries by tracking down the issue, certificate #, and specific identifiers. And, if they have expired coupons, they're worthless.

But it is an intriguing story, isn't it? I deal with people in the same manner and usually the identifiers are forged (not implying that these are faked, however.)
