Chipguy, your measurements are backed up by Intel's datasheet. Here is a link. Look at page 42.

By the way, I have read some articles from geek.com, and I agree that the lead editor there has a definite bias. Much better news and articles can be found from reliable sites, such as Ace's or Anandtech. I've noticed that Extremetech does a reasonable job as well.
