I wasn't appealing to logic at all. I was stating fact. We got our asses handed to us in Iraq. We committed trillions to the effort, lost thousands of soldiers and crippled tens of thousands more. That's not even addressing the more disturbing realities of what we did to the Iraqi population and our own reputation in the world.
As to Cheney being a war criminal, that's easy. He wrote in his own memoir that he authorized water boarding and other "enhanced" interrogation techniques. Those are defined as war crimes in our law and in international law, which was not only signed but largely written by us.
