(GIVN)—COV wasn't one of the companies rumored to be pursuing GIVN, IIRC. They presumably outbid Fujifilm, BSX, and other suitors.

This was a case where buying was quite profitable even after the share price rose from the widespread expectation that some kind of deal was going down. I attribute this phenomenon to the company's called-off deal-seeking in 2012.
