15% tax rate amounts to about 8 cents a share according to my calculation. Not insignificant.
Of course extra capacity could be a problem for Intel but might also come back to haunt AMD. We will have to wait and see how it plays out. One thing is that AMD apparently is falling behind in 65 nanometer and that can't be good for AMD at all.
My question is why would AMD state their earnings at 45 cents per share if it is 43 cents according to their own figures, a difference of about 4 1/2% ?
