Also we initiated our first clinical study with VP20629 to assess safety and tolerability in adults with Friedreich's Ataxia. FA is debilitating and life threatening multi-system degenerative disorder which involves impaired mitochondrial energy metabolism and affects the central nervous system cardiac function and the current and scale flow systems. Currently there are no proven treatments for FA. This study is just commence enrolling and we're hopeful that we'll have data from this study in mid-2014 which will of course filling our plans moving ahead. - See more at:
