People see what they want to see. Heck, if I made money even if my projections were not right, why would I change my M.O. Making money is always better than being right.
Of course, for me, I can't be that good. If I am wrong, I will lose some mullah, on the other hand, if I am right, I will make some.
From a permabear's point of view, new highs just means the top is just that much closer. And they are not wrong.
Just like for the pessimist, one more day of being alive is just one more day closer to their death. They are not wrong. But they do miss the point of being alive in the first place.
