In ten months the "competitive advantage" clause in the contract(s) of blocks 2, 3 and 4 will expire, then Sinopec will be faced with full disclosure or the JDA can announce... *if* things are not as bad as we have been lead to believe.
What reason could there be for Sinopec to do this? What if they found the "mother lode", or a marginally commercial discovery for that matter... slow playing their cards has caused Total to abandon block 1... another 60-70 million barrels for the hammer and sickle.
Like I said, competitive advantage.
