They see red and get scared, freak out , start listening to the scam police and start believing its true.

The manipulator arrange several scammer in the board to bash the Ceo or Chairman, repeatedly post some wrong info, helping the manipulator to drop the stock price so that they can cover their short in lower lower and lower price, after cover they keep buyin in more and more from bottom and wait for good news and then raise the price, when good news come out, people will ignore those scammers' postings.
