Your right. Probably overlaps a bit. Don't know if that's a good or bad thing, but I think the aquifer would sit way more shallow than any oil bearing structure. Don't think it matters either way.
I hope that havering a huge reservoir of water is a hint if other huge formations... Like black gold!
