It's the worst kind of luck that PPHM began clinical trials with chemo rather than irradiation,

FTM posted years ago here that Bavi looks like it should be more effective in combination with radiation than chemo based on PS exposure data.

A more reasonably view here is that small biotechs have to go after the low handing fruit, and that it generally later stage trials. So a chemo trial has a shorter path to approval even if the radio combo is truly more effective.
