I think you underestimate the CEO's talents at delegating responsibility and assigning tasks. He is not the one drafting and compiling the FDA submissions. He is not the one drafting preclinical and toxological protocols. Those INDAs and study proposals are so complex that they require specialists (not a CEO schooled in accounting and finance), some of whom are now hired and some of whom are still consultants. Yes, he is involved in drafting MTAs, NDAs and other agreements with clinics and CROs. But, I think he can handle something more than just K on autopilot.
