That's the key: How Fast? The average U.S. homeowner is
streaming 7.4Mbps & THEREIN LIES THE RUB...that the point.

NTEK can said they can stream 10Mbps lossless down through
6Mbps & most others are streaming around north of 20Mbps EASY.

If the AVERAGE Househould speed is 7.4Mbps then it is a BIT
OF FALSE ADVERTISING to simply say: "just get higher speed
internet".

So if the U.S. Average is 7.4Mbps then that TELLS ME they'll
need NTEK's box if they want to STREAM 4K Content on their
BRAND NEW 4K TV!!

also muddhole the NTEK box will help you to get rid of directv to cut down on a huge cable bill. Its like appletv or a roku its a way to stream what you want show wise and get rid of cable. Seems like directv is just trying to get you to keep their cable.

also netflix can't even stream non-hd or hd shows without freezing or being choppy. Pretty sure 4k with netflix will be unbearable. Also, if directv says it is so easy to just stream 4k thru their 1080p hd box why aren't they already doing it? Because they are lying to you to get you to keep their money sucking box.

Do you have Netflix right now? I do and when I try to stream non-4k it stinks...freezes probably 6-7 times a show. Its incredibly annoying. The thought of getting better quality streaming on my IPAD that doesn't freeze is music to my ears. That's just my opinion, but I grind my teeth every time I watch something. Same with TWC on demand. It all blows. Just my experience maybe they'll magically offer better quality streaming on the same speed internet, but hey we can always dream. GO NTEK$$!!

Netflix is not at all a concern for the Nuvola NP-1. In it could help NTEK sell more of them if Netflix pumps out 4k content.

Smart TVs child provide competition but at the moment, price wise , can't compete. Also David mentioned that the NP-1 with it's Android software allows you to do more than other set top boxes and Id throw smart TVs in that lot too.

Something to also consider is the Tegra 4 factor. You have a high quality gaming chip capable of supporting graphic intense games. That and it's ability to scale 720p to 4k is what'll help set it apart.

You need to also consider the fact that Direct TV is more expencive with it's monthly costs. More and more people are moving to IPtv... Also direct tv can't play Netflix, Hulu, or Nanoflix.
