I suggest that anyone who believes that the FINRA daily short data reflects "shorting" of a stock or that the data can be used to prove anything contact FINRA directly for an explanation.

The semi-monthly reports are the ones that show actual short interest. With the exception of five days early this year, VDSC has not been flagged as a Rule 4320 threshold stock.

FINRA Rule 4320 applies companies with unregistered stock and is an alternative to Reg SHO, which applies only to fully reporting companies with registered stock.
