Joe, indeed, you could interpret the article both ways (but it says "on the same platform", "current"). Either way it amounts to something very positive...

SP, quad core is scheduled for early 2007, for now. But I´m sure AMD will try hard to pull it in some as does INTEL with their quad core platform.

My understanding is, that AMD has some long-term contracts,
e.g. SUN, so they will manufacture Quad Core on 940 for these
constumers, if they demand enough volume. I don't have con-
firmation on this, but why not?

BTW: amazing RUN-UP today. :-)
