Alleyba1, I ask you, have you ever seen a mining company's success defined by their ability to bend over and pick up gold from the ground? Seems trivial, no? It's obviously a figure of speech, but even if they think they could start picking gold up off of the ground, there are many reasons why they wouldn't just start that way. Instead of the business plan saying "#1: pick it off the ground," maybe instead they want to prove the reserves and reach a huge deal with a junior/major miner for shareholders. Just a thought, an obvious one if you ask me.
