you're moving the goal posts...
...the point is NOT that a block got handed out in a goody bag at a conference...
...it's a sufficiency vs. necessity argument.
It is NECESSARY for ERHE or anyone to go to a conference to get a block, but it is not SUFFICIENT that they do so.
In other words, had ERHE not gone to the conference it wouldn't have gotten the block. Same goes with anyone else. But of course it is not sufficient that they just go to conference, they also have to follow up.
For example, it is necessary for someone to buy a lottery ticket in order to win it...but that is not sufficient, they also have to get the number, turn in the ticket, etc.
But had that person not purchased the ticket, there's no way he would have won.
