If it is clear that product is being sold in significant quantities, why doesn't the company simply post numbers?

A trip to Ohio isn’t in the cards for me, so I have nothing to work with other than the pictures , internet rumors and hype. Come to think of it, the pictures of orders being delivered are internet rumors also, that leaves me and most folks with nothing to go on.
