Nice info fuagf...but I doubt 3saints, or ANY of that ilk for that matter, care one whit for any truth provided to them. Bullies and trolls never do.

Good read >> Washington 'Spends' More on Tax Breaks Than on Medicare, Defense, or Social Security

I would agree to simplify the tax code. I am not near the income where tax breaks influence my charitable giving or size of the mortgage I wish to carry, or the amount I put into my retirement account. Few I know are. They are busy paying their bills with little left over.

On the other hand...someone just posted an article here on the benefits of giving each person...regardless of income $3000. What sense does that make?

What I have trouble grasping is how those in the middle class...50k to 250k can continue to pay more. These are precisely the people that Obama vowed he would not tax...well...Obamacare is one huge tax.

Obamacare is another benefit that will have unintended or perhaps intended consequences of forcing small employers(less than 50) to drop their group plans. If my employer were to do this, I doubt his savings of 15k a year would flow to my paycheck. In fact as your article referenced...without tax breaks I would need to earn 20k+ to pay that 15k bill.

I live and work where many two income families fall in that 100k a year range...they will get no subsidy and actually pay more if forced onto Obamacare. From the numbers I am seeing..at least 40% more for equql coverage.

Once again...the lives of the rich remain unaffected.

If Obama truely wanted to help EVERYONE with medical problems....he would have attacked the drud industry. Why can you buy your meds from Canada for 50%+ discount?
