Pro sellers ease off EOD to make the chart look better. Those who do not understand how that affects technical indicators that are derived from things like the closing price get skunked by it.

With all the consistent price manipulation going on into the close so often I can't imagine how that could be...

The Money Flow Multiplier in Chaikin Money Flow focuses on the level of the close relative to the high-low range for a given period (day, week, month). With this formula, a security could gap down and close significantly lower, but the Money Flow Multiplier would rise if the close were above the midpoint of the high-low range.

The Accumulation Distribution Line is an indicator based on a derivative of price and volume.
This makes it at least two steps removed from the actual price of the underlying security.
Moreover, the Money Flow Multiplier does not take into account price changes from period to period.
As such, it cannot be expected to always affirm price action or successfully predict price
reversals with divergences.
Sometimes there is a, gasp, disconnect between prices and the indicator.
Sometimes the Accumulation Distribution Line simply doesn't work.
This is why it vitally important to use the Accumulation Distribution Line, and all indicators for that matter, in conjunction with price/trend analysis and/or other indicators.

Kind of tells ypu all ypu need to know .....lol.

yeah, the float isn't increasing over time, at least partially due to restrictions being removed, OK.....

BTW, next time I trade a stock, I'll make sure to inform my broker to ignore bid/ask, and look at the "money flow", while bitching about manipulation.....I will also blissfully ignore VWAP, or all the times in the past when money flow was "ascending", only to have PPS decline after that too.....

thanks for the TA tips.....
