Vincent was shown the much hyped oil "seep" in the Lonnavale quarry - what there was to see of it which was very little - and it should have sounded a warning bell for him. But rather than believe the evidence of his own eyes he was more inclined to put credence in the "it's all going to happen" guff he was told in Hobart office. He visited the Bellevue site and saw the Hunt rig standing idle (as it had done for months) but there was hardly any need to travel thousands of miles to do that.
