"but here, in Mexico, Walmart sells more Intel-based than AMD."
Probably the same here.
Lidl and Aldi are two big chains in Germany. Their model is different than most US stores. You don't have a huge selection of merchandise. So this notebook is likely the only notebook offered at Lidl. So, in this case, they are exclusively AMD.
Apart from the German WhiteBoxMakers ( massively dominant in Germany ), the well-known "local" stores that most people here go to for PCs are IMO :
Atelco - mainly AMD notebooks on display, Intel offered as well Vobis - mixed Saturn - mainly if not only Intel notebooks Media-Markt - mainly Intel notebooks Staples - now selling many AMD based notebooks
Supermarkets for PCs are.... Aldi - mainly AMD, but also Intel Lidl - mainly AMD, but also Intel Plus - mixed IIRC
The "Top-12 sellers" list at Atelco-Online is IMO a good indicator ( today .. 6 of 12 = AMD ) :
Normally there are ALWAYS at least 6 AMD products in the Top-12. Fluctuates between 6-8 ! I haven't seen a single Intel Desktop for ca. 6 months in the list !
Most of the German PC Mags are full of AMD WBMer Desktop offerings - ca. 90% I would say - minimum ! WBMer notebooks, ca. 20% AMD. WBMer servers, ca. 15% AMD.
My local WBMer is a friend of mine; sells ca. 98% AMD. Gets many repeat orders for AMD based servers with Opteron. He's also Long in AMD - and also wonders where Intel makes it's unit sales ! He presumes it must be Dell and large corporate orders !
