I know that YOU already realize that IPF is doomed, but I think it's important that anyone thinking of wasting corporate $$$ on an IPF system be alerted to the fact in time to avoid the mistake.
???
Your comments get more bizarre and disconnected with reality
with every passing day. AMD realizes the long term threat
that IPF poses. A threat important enough to force it to divide
its limited engineering resources and undertake the expensive
development of two different CPU microarchitectures for its
post 2008 products, one for laptop and desktop PCs and one
for high end servers. In contrast Intel needs only one new x86
microarchitecture to cover laptop, desktop, and server. IPF
is more than competitive and established enough to finish
the take over of the leadership of the mid to high end server
market.
