Sometimes it is done so people can accumulate at low prices before the rise. Sometimes it so shorty can cover. MM don't care about it as long as they get their cut. Lot of times is because someone has a bunch of free trades and trying to maipulate the market. It is all a game and a gamble. Most of us are small fish and to even be making some money playing along the big boys is an accomplishment. Lot of times I just get pissed off and sell only to watch it go to the moon a day or so later. Now I'm just patient.
