but of most interest to me was a lady with very acute asthma who could not stand to be near a wood stove in use seated near the business end of a huge blow torch without discomfort.

What is important to understand is that the fine powders were nearly all consumed and there is a surprising note in the technical papers that the biomass "flour" is about equal in effectiveness without regard to source.

Different technologies must be analyzed on their own merits and deficiencies rather than solely that of competing technologies in order to make a valid comparison.
