Okay play this out detearing. The merger is approved. We double (or more). Then what happens?

Do you anticipate this to be a long-term hold or is it a sell, wash, rinse, repeat somewhere else? I know, each person has their own investment goals. I'm wondering if this is something I should set it and forget it or take the money and run. I would be subject to STCG as I've only been in for a few months. I know, should have bought earlier when it was cheaper but I couldn't pull the trigger.
