I don't know what their volume is but they sell their programming tools there so they do have a retail website. We use their tools where I work.

Google has their Playstore site (a friend of mine works on it) - it's a storefront, no different from lots of other storefronts. It has had problems like other store fronts - it's had major performance problems on product launches and they've had errors in it.
